Because the complete Leonida map hasn’t been released by Rockstar there are no exact square-mile measurements of the Keys in GTA 6.
You can see from the official images of the Leonida Keys in GTA 6 that there are multiple islands with long bridges connecting them. This area to be explored in GTA 6 is far larger than Cayo Perico.
However, screenshots alone cannot establish exact size.
You should note that when estimating the size of water areas, comparisons of “land only” measurements are generally incomplete. For example, a “land only” measurement of Cayo Perico could be compared against another measurement that includes surrounding navigable water and other underwater areas.

The Leonida Keys and Cayo Perico prove that tropical scenery can support very different types of Grand Theft Auto gameplay.
Cayo Perico is memorable because Rockstar built a remote island around a focused GTA Online heist experience. Its compound, beaches and isolated setting make it fundamentally different from Los Santos.
The Leonida Keys appears designed on a broader scale.
Instead of one remote island, players will explore a chain of islands connected by roads and long bridges. Boats and seaplanes provide additional transportation, while scuba diving adds an underwater layer to the region.
The Keys also appears much more integrated with everyday life. Coastal communities, homes, marinas and traffic suggest that people permanently live and work there.
Most importantly, the location is directly connected to Jason Duval’s story. Jason already has a history in the Keys, while Brian Heder’s boat-yard operation and Cal Hampton’s connection with Jason give the region a strong character network.
Rockstar has not released exact measurements, so it cannot yet be confirmed that the Leonida Keys is physically larger than Cayo Perico.
Its multiple islands, bridges, water routes and underwater environments nevertheless suggest a broader style of exploration than Cayo Perico’s original heist-focused design.
