Lucia Caminos’ Childhood and Family Background
So far, we have been given very little information about GTA 6’s new protagonist, Lucia and her childhood, and what we do know, gives us an insight into her character.
Teaching Lucia how to fight at a young age was Lucia’s father’s contribution to her personality. As opposed to the environment changing in order to ensure her safety, Lucia grew up in a world where she had to defend herself.
For now, all we know about Lucia’s father is that he did what he did, what happened to him afterwards and whether he will even feature in the main story of GTA 6 remains a mystery. But what we do know is that he was a big part of Lucia’s development into the physically confident and strong headed character she is today.
In terms of motivation, it is her mother that is most relevant to the character, a high aspirational person who tried to build a better life for her and her family while living in Liberty City. She didn’t seem to be the type of person to get caught up in unrealistic promises of easy cash or ‘lucky breaks’, and it’s clear that Lucia isn’t either.

From what I have seen of Lucia she appears to be an emotionally controlled person. She has been through some very difficult times (prison, tough home life, uncertainty about her future) but she seems determined to move on.
Although she appears to be in control, Lucia is shown to be physically aggressive in the official Polybius screenshots, training herself up in physical combat after being taught by her father. The main difference here is that before, she wanted to use her physicality to carry out crimes, but now she wants to use it in an intelligent and strategic manner.
