The official GTA 6 PC system requirements have not been released. In fact, Rockstar Games has not yet formally announced Grand Theft Auto VI for Windows PC, which means there is currently no legitimate minimum or recommended hardware list for the game.
Rockstar’s current GTA VI platform information lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the console game scheduled for November 19, 2026. PC remains absent from the official launch-platform list.
This is important because dozens of unofficial GTA 6 requirement tables are already circulating online. Many name specific NVIDIA RTX or AMD Radeon graphics cards, Intel and AMD processors, RAM capacities and storage requirements as though Rockstar published them.
Rockstar has not.
There is currently no official GTA 6 minimum CPU, recommended GPU, RAM requirement, VRAM requirement, Windows version, SSD specification, DirectX version or PC installation size.
We can still examine Rockstar’s existing PC games to understand how its hardware requirements have evolved. Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced now requires an SSD and recommends considerably more modern hardware than the original GTA V PC release, while Red Dead Redemption 2 demonstrates the requirements Rockstar used for one of its later large open-world PC games.
Those specifications provide historical context only. They should not be copied and presented as GTA 6 requirements.

Rockstar announced Red Dead Redemption 2 PC release date for October 4, 2019, with a launch set for November 5, 2019.
On October 9th Rockstar opened up pre-purchases for the Rockstar Games Launcher in several territories, along with a slew of PC screenshots as well as explanations for some of the technical enhancements on show, and the full detailed system specs for the game.
This means the final set of details on the hardware requirements are given less than a month prior to the games release date.
This is why GTA 6 PC requirements will probably be shared close to the game’s launch.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is useful for understanding Rockstar’s historical PC requirements, although its specifications are now several years old.

GTA V Enhanced Gives Us More Current Rockstar PC Context
Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced is more useful for understanding Rockstar’s modern PC baseline.
Rockstar upgraded GTA V on PC in 2025 with improved graphics options, faster loading and features previously available on current-generation consoles.
The current GTA V Enhanced requirements are significantly more demanding than the original GTA V PC release.
They also provide an important storage clue: an SSD is now part of the official GTA V Enhanced minimum specification.
Again, these specifications cannot be copied into GTA 6.
They only show where Rockstar’s current PC support has moved.

Does GTA V Enhanced Recommended Hardware Predict GTA 6?
No.
The fact that GTA V Enhanced recommends an RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 XT does not mean GTA 6 will use those exact GPUs as minimum or recommended requirements.
GTA 6 is a different game designed around a different generation of world simulation, rendering and content.
A future PC port could be substantially more demanding.
It could also use modern scalability techniques that allow a broad range of systems to run the game.
Only Rockstar’s final requirements will answer the question.
Will GTA 6 Need a Powerful CPU?
No official GTA 6 CPU requirement exists.
However, GTA 6’s console presentation shows a complex open world containing dense traffic, pedestrian crowds, wildlife and numerous environments.
These systems illustrate why CPU performance matters in open-world games.

Will GTA 6 Require 32 GB RAM?
